UConn MPA Program is Nationally Ranked

U.S. News & World Report Ranks the University of Connecticut MPA program in the top 50 of all Public Administration and Public Policy programs across the country.  UConn offers the only accredited MPA program in Connecticut.

Specifically, UConn is ranked:

• 49 out of 261 MPA and Public Policy programs considered by U.S. News & World Report—solidly in the top 20% of all programs

  
  

• 34th among public institutions nationwide

  
  

• 39th when compared to other MPA (or similar) programs

  
  

• First among similar MPA programs in New England 

The University of Connecticut is ranked #7 in the Public Finance and Budgeting field rankings for Public Administration/Public Policy programs.  This ranking provides significant national recognition for the public finance strength area that UConn has built over the past few years. 

Public Policy Department Head Amy Donahue remarked about the rankings: “The vast majority of the programs ranked ahead of us are much larger than we are.  The UConn MPA is an excellent choice for students who want a smaller, more intimate program, where the faculty and students interact on a daily basis.
